Hello beautiful people.
Happy Monday! Is it possible that we are at the start of week 6, the halfway point of WEF?! I simply can not get over how fast the time goes. Our girls week with friends, Ireen & Penelope, went by so quickly and left us needing more time to do more things! We did as much as we could squeeze in and we had a really fun time together, most importantly. It means a lot to me that friends and family take the time out to come and visit us. It is nice for them to thaw out for a few days too. I’ll share about the equestrian events we attended this weekend as well as some of the other fun we found throughout the week in a later post. On Friday night, we attended Friday Night Stars over at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival. We saw both 3* and 5* Freestyle dressage competition. I was excited to see it up close this week being that it was the 5* event of the season.
Prior to heading over to the show, we went to dinner at The Patio at Polo. I’d heard about it but had never been there myself. Located inside of the Polo Club community, it is literally a patio under a white tent (a really pretty one). It is a great atmosphere! Our server, Franklin, was fantastic and attentive. The food was excellent! There are a lot of small plates and salads for sharing and a few really great entree sized choices. I chose the fresh pan roasted fish with vegetable spirals and curry foam. Isla had the tuna crudo and was thrilled. Odd that a 4 year old loves raw fish and won’t eat mashed potatoes, right? Ireen ordered scallops and they were seriously delicious. We also sampled a few bites of every dessert offering, of course. I will most definitely go back. I think it’s a great spot to go with friends or a date night.
